Kangpokpi, January 07 2022:
'Divine Visitation Manipur 2022" began on Friday at Brig M Thomas ground in Kangpokpi town with hundreds of people taking part in the healing and deliverance worship.
During the event, Rev Fr Jangkhogin, chairman of the organizing committee gave the welcome address and led the presentation while Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization presented gifts to the Healing and Deliverance Worship Team.
The Healing and Deliverance Worship team led by Evangelist Emmanuel I Odumodu from Johannesburg, South Africa, and Rev Rocky Angumei from Yaikongpao Kangpokpi District led the worship service where healing was also done in an open space.
Addressing the gathering, Rev Rocky Angumei said, "as people of Kangpokpi welcome Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit through the Divine Visitation Manipur, God will honour and touch you during the programme as we stand on the throne of the highest God, not in Thomas Ground".
"We have come here to heal the land of Manipur which has to be started from the Church.
It is not going to be from the politicians, IAS officers, doctors, engineers or the underground militants, but it should be from the Church of Christ, who are you and me", asserted Rev Rocky Angumei.
Later, the healing and deliverance worship team led by Rev Rocky Angumei and Evangelist Emmanuel I Odumodu joined their hands together and prayed for the people gathered at the ground to begin the healing service.
Many people suffering from different illnesses including people who can't walk, talk or hear came to the service to receive healing.
It may be mentioned that Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen also attended the Divine Visitation Manipur 2022 along with various civil bodies of the town and Church leaders.
The event was organised by Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship.
