State Govt well prepared to implement NEP, says Education Minister

Education Minister S Rajen Singh has said that the Government is well prepared for the successful implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) in the State.
The Minister made the above statement while speaking as the Chief Guest at the inauguration function of newly constructed school classrooms of Laphupat Tera High School (Govt aided) in Imphal West today.
He said that the Government with the initiative of School Fagathansi Mission has improved the education system in the State.
Number of school dropout students has been tremendously decreased, he added.
He informed that the Government has a plan to convert Laphupat Tera High School to a full fledged Government high school.
The Minister also spoke development in many spheres during the regime of the present Government.
Stating that the condition of Government schools have improved tremendously, he said that students need not to go to private schools, He also maintained that the school management committee needs to be well equipped and empowered and the teachers need to work with utmost dedication in the interest of the students.
Deputy Speaker, Manipur Legislative Assembly, K Robindro Singh, N Basanta Singh, Pradhan, Laphupat Tera Komlakhong, Gram Panchayat also attended the event as the presidium members.
