Imphal, May 05 2018: On 05/05/2018, an awareness campaign and lecture on cyber security was held at Unit Hqr 109 Bn, CRPF, Mongsangei.

The session was conducted by Dr.Mohit Garg, IPS and his team from Cyber Crime Police Station, Manipur with the objective to sensitize the CRPF personnel on the precautions to be taken against the ever increasing cyber crimes.

The lecture was attended by approximately 100 personnel of 109 Bn CRPF including Sh Vinod Kumar, Commandant and officers.

During the session, the participants were enlightened on how to safely use various social media especially facebook, whatsapp, etc and also about the precautions against fake call frauds and to use personal debit cards with utmost secrecy.

Recent trends in cyber crimes like Ransomware, Bluewhale game, Clash of clans, etc were also briefly dealt during the session.

Sh Vinod Kumar, Commandant appealed to the troops to exercise extreme caution while using social media and cyber space and thanked Dr.Mohit Garg, IPS and his team from Cyber Crime Police Station, Manipur for conducting the campaign in 109 Bn.
