Imphal, October 04 2014 : Troops of 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) apprehended two individuals along with contraband drugs from Khudengthabi check post yesterday.

The apprehendees have been identified as Tualkhanzam (54), s/o (L) Thangvial of New Lamka, Churachandpur and Lalminthang (49) s/o Thangchinkap of Hiangtam, Churachandpur.

Around 39 gms of heroin, 1110 contraband tablets, two voter identity cards, two mobile phones, one transportation card and Rs 3,601 were recovered from their possession.

The apprehendees along with the recovered items have been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau, Imphal, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
