Imphal, October 03 2016:
Union Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) Prakash Javadekar has vowed to expose the wrongdoings of the State Government shortly.
Speaking to mediapersons at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP Manipur Pradesh today, Prakash Javadekar said that the time is overdue to install a new Government in Manipur.
To set up a new Government in place of the existing one is the common wish of the people of Manipur.
The State Government's claims that the State's devel-opment has been impeded due to non-release of fluids and cancellation of a number of projects by the Central Government need verification.
BJP would present a detailed account about what the Government of India did for the development of Manipur and welfare of its people, Javadekar stated.
Since NDA assumed power at the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, people of Manipur are no longer facing scarcity of LPG even though they use to purchase LPG from markets at Rs 2000 per refill at one point of time.
Now all LPG consumers of the State have been receiving refills regularly at subsidised rates.
Under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), rice has been made available to poor families at highly subsidised rates.
The Central Government has been providing the State's rice quota without any interruption.
People of Manipur have not been receiving subsidised rice regularly as large portions of the rice quota have been swindled by the State Government.
Informing that the Central Government has been monitoring the Jiribam-Tupul railway work, he said the project has been completed by 22 Kms and another 70 Kms would be completed within a short period.
The Central Government would pay special focus to higher and technical education in all the eight North Eastern States under RUSA phase III.
The North Eastern States would benefit a lot from RUSA phase III, he assured.
He went on to claim that the North Eastern States have started reaping benefits since the Look East Policy was transformed into Act East Policy.
This was testified when petroleum products were brought to Tripura through Bangladesh when the State was facing scarcity of petroleum products sometime back.
The recent surgical strike carried out by the Indian army taught a lesson to Pakistan.
No country raised any voice of objection against the surgical strike carried out by the Indian army at seven different places.
The leadership quality of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was demonstrated once again when India opted out of SAARC Summit and other member countries decided to stay away from the same summit.
During a recent UN summit, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj gave a detailed account of how Pakistan has been sponsoring cross-border terrorism.
Even though the Indian army always gave befitting response when there were terrorist attacks, India could not give befitting responses at political level.
However, since BJP came to power, India has been able to give befitting responses to all misadventures of Pakistan at the political level too, Javadekar added.
