Imphal, August 02 2024: Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan has appealed to all MLAs to lend all possible help to ensure displaced people who are taking refuge in their respective Constituencies live comfortably .

Addressing the media at the relief camp set up at Thangmeiband Khoyathong Tombisana High School today, Joykisan continued that there are three relief camps in Thangmeiband.

Saying that all inmates of relief camps in Thangmeiband are provided beds and mattresses, the MLA added that TAKDO members and local clubs in Thangmeiband also have been providing all possible assistance to the IDPs.

Displaced people should not be treated like inmates of concentration camps, he added.

Meanwhile, Joykisan said that MLAs of both the ruling and Opposition MLAs should work together to restore normalcy in Manipur in the larger interest of the people.

He said that Chief Minister N Biren Singh is in touch with the Central leadership constantly to resolve the crisis in Manipur and address the grievances of IDPs.
