ZB, LNC condole demise of Isak Swu

The Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) on behalf of the Zeliangrong people living in Assam, Manipur, Nagaland and elsewhere deeply mourned the demise of Isak Chisi Swu, Chairman of NSCN (IM).
In a statement, the president of ZB (AMN) Raitu Chawang said that the demise of Isak Chisi Swu, one of the towering figures of Nagas is a great lost to the Naga community.
He was truly the son of the Naga's soil.
His entire life was dedicated for the cause of Nagas for what he believed were the fundamental rights of his people.
Isak Chisi Swu's life mission and supreme sacrifice for the Naga nation was well recognized all over the world.
His influence may be said to have been reflected in the Framework Agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM) in 2015.It is unfortunate that there is no final solution during his lifetime.
ZB (AMN) expressed heartfelt condolence and share the grief with the bereaved family members at this hour of sorrow and pray toAlmighty to grant the departed soul to rest in peace eternally, the condolence message said.
The Liangmai Naga Council, Manipur (LNC-M) has expressed its heartfelt condolences on the demise of "our beloved leader Late Sir Isak Chishi Swu", the Chairman of NSCN (IM).
"It is a privilege and an honour to pay tribute to a legend.
We feel shattered in the face of our loss that our great leader has been taken from us in such a crucial juncture and a piece of each of us died the moment we heard the sad news," LNC (M) said in a message, adding, "This is but natural; as the bitter pangs of our incredulous grief begin to pass we must thank God that we were privileged to have had this great man as our leader" .
According to LNC(M), it is impossible to pay tribute to Isak Chishi Swu without recognizing the vital role he played.
His unwavering dedication and commitment to the Nagas' cause is a testament to his high principle, the LNC(M) stated.
"His soft nature and in depth wisdom elevated our movement to the level we are today.
He strove always to be the best he could be, a family man, a friend, a colleague and a champion to others.
A man who had discovered something that he will live and die for.
It is very hard to say good bye and we don't want to but we know death is inevitable.
In death you have given yourself to us and in leaving us these gifts, Isak Chishi Swu the Chairman of NSCN(IM) leaves with us the legacy to carry forward," the LN(M) message further said.
