Imphal, April 02 2013: The post for North East Zonal Organisation Secretary of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has been dissolved and new Organisation Secretaries for each states of the North East have been created.

According to sources from BJP Manipur State unit, the post of NE Zonal Organisation Secretary of the party was dissolved in a meeting held at Guwahati on March 25 .

P Chandrasekhar Rao was holding the post for the last seven years.

Instead of the former post, separate post for Organisation Secretaries for all the seven states in the North Eastern region have been created.

Among them, Shamurailatpam Premananda, son of late Shamurailatpam Modhumangol has been appointed as the Organisation Secretary of Manipur.

However, BJP Manipur State Unit has not yet received any official intimation from the party's high command in this regard, sources added.
