Imphal, February 02 2016:
A delegation of the Naga Students' Federation met RN Ravi, the interlocutor of Indo-Naga peace talk and apprised him of the need to speed up the peace talk while appreciating his sincerity and seriousness in solving the long pending Naga political conflict.
Today the team met PA Sangma, Chairman, North East MPs Forum and appealed for his intervention and cooperation in resolving the protracted Indo-Naga political issue.
"The federation believes that a positive gesture from the entire North East Members of Parliament would definitely boost the morale of the Government of India to seek an honourable solution not only for the Nagas but also for the various political groups in North East India", conveyed a press release.
The delegation also met Rajnath Singh, Union Minister for Home Affairs and urged him to take personal initiatives in bringing permanent peace as the Naga people specially the youth are anxiously waiting for the outcome of the ongoing political dialogue.
The Federation shared that keeping this particular issue in abeyance will not only disturb the minds of the Nagas and the North Eastern people but will also continue to haunt the minds of the Indian leadership.
The team is still planning to meet some other key leaders of the Centre, it added.
