Dimapur, September 01 2014:
The NSCN-IM has advised Sanjay Hazarika headed Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research to be more rationale in choosing resource persons when it comes to speaking on Naga peace process.
The NSCN-IM said today that it came to know from a confirmed source that the Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research headed by Sanjay Hazarika is organizing a two day meet in Delhi at the University of Jamia Millia Islamia on September 5.According to the press communique from the outfit's Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), it is aware of one of the topics 'Peace Process and Taxation' to be discussed by one Khekiye, a retired IAS official from Nagaland.
The Naga outfit then said, "While the Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research enjoys the liberty to select a resource person from Nagaland, this Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) is equally concerned for guarding the paucity and seriousness of the peace process in the search for lasting, honourable resolution to the unresolved political case between the Union of India and the Naga people.
Therefore, selection of resource person who is totally unrelated to the peace process when a matter of such magnitude of seriousness is involved, the question of who to represent the truth on Indo-Naga case becomes a big concern" .
