Jiribam, June 30 2011:
The Abom Punji Village Authority has slammed the PWD for deplorable condition of the road connecting Abom Punji and other adjoining villagers from Jiri-Tipaimukh road, reports our Correspondent.
Chairman of the Village Authority Charlestine Lamuruong rued that the said road which was black-topped by PWD has all broken up and is filled with slush and mud less than a year of black topping.
With the road no longer motorable, people of around ten villages have been facing untold hardships in terms of transportation.
He further appealed to the authority concerned to do the needful at the earliest.
