New Delhi, December 31 2012: The draft chargesheet in the brutal gang-rape of the 23-year old girl who died in Singapore on Saturdayhas been prepared and the police in all liklihood will seek maximum punishmnet in the case, according to sources on Monday.

Delhi Police will site 30 witnesses in its case and will ensure a fast trial in the case.

Meanwhile, the forensic and DNA report in the case of gang-rape of medical student is expected today.

As per a report published by private TV news channel NDTV, the results of the forensic examination will help the investigators in establishing the involvement of the six accused, who brutally raped and tortured the young paramedical student on December 16 .

The chargesheet is said to be of about 1000-page.After the girl's death, the charges of murder were added in the chargesheet under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code against the six accused men.

All six accused have already been charged with gangrape, kidnapping, unnatural offences, hurting in committing robbery and common intention under the Indian Penal Code.

In the wake of the death of Delhi gang rape victim, the movement demanding justice for 23-year-old medical student and better security for women continued across the country.

Activists and various student groups have vowed to keep the movement alive.

The BJP too organised a condolence meeting at Jantar Mantar today to pay tribute to the 23-year-old gang rape victim.

Top BJP leaders including LK Advani, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj offered tribute the brave heart, who died after battling for life for 13 days.

Following a day of protests on Sunday across India over the brutal rape and killing, several cities held silent candle light vigils to remember the young woman.

The gang rape provoked protests and rare nationwide debate about violence against women in India.

In New Delhi, where the attack took place, a petition calling for the death penalty for rape gathered 100,000 signatures.

New Delhi has the highest number of sex crimes among India's major cities, with a rape reported on average every 18 hours, police figures show.

Reported rape cases rose by nearly 17 percent between 2007 and 2011, according to government data.

Six suspects, who were charged with murder after girl's death, face the death penalty if convicted.
