The rally was flagged off from Khangabok Part-I Mayai Leikai community hall by BJP Manipur Pradesh former vice president Thokchom Jadumani.

The rally which was joined by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Works Minister Th Biswajit, BJP spokesperson Dr Nimaichand Luwang, Khangabok Zilla Parishad Member Kh Rajmohon as well as other MLAs, BJP leaders etc from near Khangabok New Market area, concluded at BASU ground where a meeting was held.

Speaking at the gathering, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that today's rally was organised in gratitude to the Central Government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other Central leaders for fulfilling the long cherished dream of the people of Manipur.

Biren said that the people of Manipur, mainly the Meitei community often seem unable to appreciate good deeds done by others and show gratitude to other people, which is very disappointing.

Urging the people to strive to become a better version of themselves and inculcate the habit of showing gratitude to others, Biren narrated that the people of Manipur have been demanding Inner Line Permit System for a long time.

Despite many protests, violence and even loss of lives, the demand of the people remained unfulfilled for a long time and even the Manipur People Bill passed by the State Assembly remained far-fetched awaiting assent from the President of the country.

However, the demand of the people was recently granted by the Central leaders and as such, it is natural for the people to show gratitude to these leaders, Biren added.

Claiming that no other leaders except Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP leaders, have listened to the voice of the people of Manipur, the Chief Minister further claimed that PM Narendra Modi is the only one who also assured the people that Manipur's territory will never be affected in any way.

Biren continued that no more explanation is left for CAA as people have already been made aware that CAA will not be applicable in States where the ILPS is in force.

He then demanded other parties, specially the Congress, to refrain from trying to mislead the people in this regard and creating unrest.

Biren claimed that CAA will not affect any community or religion and appealed to the people to refrain from believing the lies that CAA is a tool for driving away minority Muslims from the country.

The CM demanded those concerned to properly understand CAA first before trying to mislead the people and proposed a debate on how CAA will reportedly affect the people.

CAA aims to create a unified India.

It is wrong to say that CAA violates Article 14 of the Constitution, he claimed demanding all those concerned to produce evidence which suggests that the Act violates the said Article.

On the other hand, appealing the people of the State to stop the trend of forming an organisation or an association and launching protests, the Chief Minister remarked that the sheer number of associations present in the State today is completely mind-boggling.

He alleged that more often than not, the same members of a particular association are found in other associations as well, which is confusing to say the least and added that instead of creating disturbance and unrest, it will be more productive to put more stress on improving work culture.

Biren explained that Manipur depends mostly on road transport and due to the constant incidents of landslides and road blockade, it will be far more beneficial to inculcate the importance of work culture among the people with the aim of improving the State's produces so as to decrease dependency on other States.

The CM appealed to the people to refrain from constructing houses and structures in the farmlands and wetlands taking the fate of the future generations into consideration.

Biren announced that BJP means development and with the party coming into power, the country and the State are witnessing rapid development.

It is because of the BJP that the hills and the valley of Manipur are united today, he claimed assuring that BJP will never betray the trust of the people.

The people remember how the State was before BJP came to power, Manipur was riddled with problems, bandhs and blockades were common place and many of the people also lost their lives in fake encounters.

Back then, people were afraid to meet security personnel.

They feared for their lives if they were stopped by police while carrying cash.

The situation today is very different, now people can even roam freely during the night without any fear.

There is no more corruption with the coming of the BJP Government.

Now, people need not pay bribes to get employment, Biren added.

The Chief Minister also spoke about various schemes of the Government like the Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) as well as Ayushman Bharat.

He also claimed that the greater number of men, as compared to women, seen during today's rally is a good sign as it shows that the people are now more involved in politics.

On the other hand, Minister Biswajit accused the Congress party and Left parties of trying to create tension in the region.

They are parties, filled with corruption, which make up baseless accusations and claims to create unrest in the State, he added.

MLAs Paonam Brojen, Th Shatyabarta Singh, Dr S Ranjan and H Dingo, BJP Manipur Pradesh president-in charge Salam Joy, BJP Manipur Pradesh Mahila Morcha president Kongbam Inaocha Devi were also present as well.
