Imphal, September 27 2020:
Keeping with the recent trend of triple digit surge in the COVID-19 positive cases, the State recorded 248 fresh positive cases during the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, a top ranking Health official said it seemed contact tracing has not been done properly these days even though according to the prescribed SOP tracing of contacts should be done promptly when a positive case is detected in any area and the area has been declared as containment zone by the District Magistrate concerned.
The officials looking after tracing contacts of the positive individual should determine the possible number of people who could have been infected by COVID-19 through the particular individual, and also the primary source of infection, said the Health official.
