COVID-19 death toll reaches 370

Imphal, January 27 2021:
Following the death of a 75-year old man from Bishnupur at RIMS, the State's COVID-19 death toll has reached 370, according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
During the last 48 hours, 10 people were tested positive for COVID-19 at RIMS, Raj Medicity, Bishnupur, Chandel and Shija Hospital.
They belong to Imphal West (4), Imphal East (3), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (1) and Chandel (1) .
On the other hand, 34 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 48 hours from home isolation (22), JNIMS (1), Shija Hospital (2), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (1), Lanva (1), Churachandpur (1), RIMS (3), Chandel (2) and Raj Medicity (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,007 (general population 25,584) and Central security personnel 3,423) .
This figure includes 161 active cases (general population 152 and Central security personnel 9) and 28,476 discharged cases (general population 25,066) and Central security personnel 3,410) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.16 per cent.
