Mob vandalize Mothers Care Children Hospital after an infant died after discharged

Imphal, May 26 2019: An irate mob today storm to the Mothers Care Children hospital located at Sagolband Moirang leirak and vandalized the hospital property after an infant who was discharged after treatment, reported died.

The infant was discharged after successful surgery at the hospital.

The ill-fated, Mangalsana is the son of one Ksh Birjitkumar from Satyapur Mamang Leikai near Kumbi police station.

He is only 2 months and 13 days old.

The child was reported to have been hospitalized on May 22 at the Mothers Care Children hospital and was treated by one consultant Dr.Toijam Sony Lyngdoh.

He was reported to have been suffering from Infantile Hypertrophic pyloric stenosis - a condition in which the opening between the stomach and small intestine thickens.

Father of the deceased child Ksh Birjitkumar , while talking to media persons said that his son Mangalsana was admitted to Mothers Care Children Hospital on May 22 and underwent surgery on the following day.

After the surgery the child remained normal and healthy and could even breastfeed.

The child was discharged on May 25 .

Birjitkumar said that, on the day of discharged, at around 7:30 pm, the child started vomiting black and yellow particles after they reached their home.

The family members reportedly called the doctor through phone and the doctors assured that everything will be fine.

The baby then fall asleep but stopped breathing at around 4 am next morning.

The immediately rushed to the hospital but the child died.

Ksh Birjitkumar blamed the doctor for the cause of the dead of his son.

He sought clarification from the doctor over the matter.

The irate patient party stormed the doctor's room of the consultant Dr Sony and started vandalizing the property inside the room.

Later, a police team which rushed the spot put the situation under controlled.
