73 new cases detected, one dies, 107 recover

Imphal, July 25 2022:
The state on Monday reported 73 new positive cases from 10 districts out of 627 samples tested in the last 24 hours registering 11.64 per cent test positivity rate.
The 73 fresh cases (29 male & 44 female) are residents of Imphal West (37), Imphal East (23), Bishnupur (3), Chandel (2), Kakching (2), Kangpokpi (2), Churachandpur (1), Kamjong (1), Tamenglong (1) and Thoubal (1) districts.
Monday also reported one death case, who was female resident of Kangpokpi district.
The victim had not received any vaccine dose and also had co-morbidities.
Government bulletins also reported 107 recoveries in the last 24 hours from home isolation (96), JNIMS (7), RIMS (2) and Shija Hospital (1) .
Meanwhile, number of active cases came down to 605, out of which 426 (70.41 per cent) are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2126 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,38,631 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed the lives of 197 vaccinated persons of which 63 had received the second dose.
There are 13 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 14 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 1386 positive cases and six deaths since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 1361 new positive case and six death cases.
The cumulative positivity rate for the current month rose to 10.82 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 20 D-type and 7 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 374 vaccine doses administered taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,08,566, out of which 12,80,183 had received the second dose and 1,76,679 had precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49397), Imphal East (30824), Thoubal (10229), Churachandpur (11121), Kangpokpi (3158), Tamenglong (3488), Bishnupur (9901), Senapati (2507),
Ukhrul (3311), Kakching (6935), Chandel (2753), Noney (1169), Tengnoupal (1206), Jiribam (1116), Kamjong (1048), and Pherzawl (468) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (705), Imphal East (512), Thoubal (190), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (68), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (124), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,676 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000
as per NCP report) against the national average of 31,185 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,24,416 tests per million population against the national average of 6,19,901 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands
at 1.53 per cent and the recovery rose to 98.03 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.52 per cent.
