Low count continues with 16 testing positive

Imphal, January 24 2021:
The total COVID-19 positive cases in the State rose by 16 during the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
A total of 14 civilians and two personnel of CAPF were found infected by the virus at JNIMS, RIMS, Raj Medicity, Jivan Hospital, Thoubal, Tamenglong and Churachandpur.
The civilians belong to Imphal West (1), Imphal East (1), Thoubal (2), Kakching (1), Senapati (1), Tamenglong (3) and Churachandpur (5) .
The death toll stands at 369 as there was no report of COVID-19 related death during the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, 11 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (7), RIMS (1), Shija Hospital (2) and CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (1) .
The cumulative of positive cases is 28,986 (general population 25,563 and Central security personnel 3,423) .
This figure includes 201 active cases (general population 190 and Central security personnel 11) and 28,416 discharged cases (general population 25,008 and Central security personnel 3,408) .
The recovery rate as on Sunday is 98.03 per cent.
