State logs 39 new cases, zero death

Even though 39 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported during the last 24 hours, there was no report Covid-19 death in the State during the same period.
Altogether 39 people including one CAPF personnel were tested positive at JNIMS (10) and other testing centres (29), informed a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The 38 civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (10), Imphal West (16), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (3), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (1) and Ukhrul (1) .
With 39 confirmed positive out of 1,527 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, the daily positivity rate stood at 2.6 per cent on Monday.
Chandel district recorded the highest positivity rate at 9.5 per cent followed by Noney 7.7 per cent and Kakching 7.3 per cent.
On the other hand, 43 people who were undergoing treatment for Covid-19 have been discharged following recovery from home isolation (9), RIMS (1), JNIMS (6) and CCCs (27) .
Whereas the death toll remains unchanged from yesterday at 1962, the cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,24,957 (general population 1,20,538 and Central security personnel 4,419) .
This figure includes 678 active cases (general population 612 and Central security personnel 66) and 1,22,317 recovered cases (general population 1,17,969 and Central security personnel 4,348) .
The recovery rate as on Sunday is 97.89 per cent.
A total of 267 D-type oxygen cylinders and 46 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Taking into account 2,229 doses administered on November 21, the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the State is 21,05,568 (first dose 12,70,396 and second dose 8,35,172) .
Till November 21, 54.27 per cent of the State's total population had been given the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine while 35.68 per cent had received both the first and second doses.
