Meghen handed over to India : Bds Reds to CPI

The Bangladesh Communist Party has communicated to the Communist Party of India (CPI) that UNLF Chairman RK Meghen alias Sanayaima had been indeed handed over to the Indian authorities after his arrest in Bangladesh.
According to a statement issued by the CPI State Council, chairman of Bangladesh Communist Party Mansur Hassan Khan has communicated to National Secretary of CPI AB Bardhan today informing that UNLF Chairman RK Meghen alias Sanayaima had been indeed handed over to Indian authorities after rebel leader was arrested by a joint team of Intelligence agents of two neighbouring countries in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Communist Party relayed the information in response to an earlier request from the CPI for finding out the truth about the arrest of RK Meghen in Bangladesh.
It may be noted here that during his recent visit to Imphal, Union Home Minister GK Pillai had clarified that Indian authorities were not involved in the reported arrest of RK Meghen in Bangladesh nor has Delhi received any official intimation from the side of the Bangladesh authorities in this connection.
However, BBC had reported that RK Meghen had been handed over to India authorities after his arrest in Bangladesh by a joint intelligence agents of the two neighbouring countries.
The statement of the CPI State Council further informed that after a thorough discussion on the issue centering around the reported arrest of RK Meghen in Bangladesh and subsequent concealment of his whereabouts in its executive meeting on November 13, member of CPI State Council and National Council Dr M Nara had been entrusted to take up the necessary measures with the Central leaders of the party.
Accordingly, Dr Nara met National Secretary of the party AB Bardhan and submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister.
Rajya Sabha MP of the party D Raja and Lok Sabha MP Gurdas Dasgupta have also been entrusted to raise the issue in the Parliament, the statement added.
Meanwhile, demanding disclosure of whereabouts of UNLF chairman RK Meghen alias Sanayaima, a Wakat Meepham was staged in front of the Macha Leima office at Palace Compound here today.
The protest demonstration was participated by staff from various branches of Macha Leima and students of its school.
The BBC correspondent in India first broke the story of the arrest of Meghen, but so far both Dhaka and Delhi have have not come out with any official statements.
