Active cases fall below 50

Imphal, February 22 2021:
The total number of COVID-19 active cases has declined to 49 and it includes 11 Central security personnel.
According to a press release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman and Additional Director (Health) Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, three persons (two males and one female) tested positive for COVID-19 at Shija Hospital and Imphal Hospital during the last 24 hours.
The three individuals who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal West, Thoubal and Kakching.
With no report of COVID-19 related death during the last 24 hours, the death toll stands at 373 .
On the other hand, five COVID-19 positive people were discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,240 (general population 25,808 and Central security personnel 3,432) .
The total number of recovered cases after reconciliation with data from IDSP, home isolation, COVID Care Centres and Death Committee report is 28,818 (general population 25,401 and Central security personnel 3,417) .
The recovery rate as on Monday is 98.55 per cent.
Meanwhile, 1630 people were inoculated against COVID-19 today.
So far, 40,118 people have been vaccinated against the virus in the State.
