The raging fire was put off by fire tenders of Manipur police.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Lamphel police station in connection with the vandalism and arson.
One Ravi from Ithai is the Principal of the school.
The school's first batch of Class XII students are supposed to give their board exam under CBSE this year.
However, students and guardians have been coming to the school every now and then because they are yet to receive their exam admit cards.
It is suspected that the vandalism and arson were related with the school's failure to get itself affiliated to CBSE.
But no school officials who know the facts were present at the school campus when a media team reached there.
Notably, entrance gate of Central Institute of Science located at Keishamthong Hodam Leirak was torched by some unidentified persons last night.
Central Institute of Science was earlier a coaching centre before it was upgraded as a school purportedly affiliated to CBSE.
