TPR rises to 3.8 pc, one more dies

Today's positivity rate has risen to 3.8 per cent as compared to yesterday's 3.2 per cent as 78 people including three CAPF personnel were confirmed positive at RIMS (6), JNIMS (6) and other testing centres (66) out of 2,061 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee reported one Covid-19 death during the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1960 .
The victim had second dose of Covid vaccine but he/she had co-morbidities.
A bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that the 75 civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (27), Imphal West (38), Thoubal (1), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (1), Ukhrul (5) and Senapati (1) .
Imphal East recorded the highest positivity rate at 7.3 per cent followed by Thou-bal 6.7 per cent, Imphal West 6.5 per cent and Chandel 6.1 per cent.
Meanwhile, 35 persons who were undergoing treatment for Covid-19 have recovered and have been discharged from home isolation (3), RIMS (2), JNIMS (7) and CCCs (23) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reach-ed 1,24,835 (general popu- lation 1,20,470 and Central security personnel 4,365) .
It includes 630 active cases (general population 613 and Central security personnel 17) and 1,22,245 recovered cases (general population 1,17,902 and Central security personnel 4,343) .
The recovery rate is 97.93 per cent.
Meanwhile, a total of 781 D-type oxygen cylinders and 169 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State on Friday.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 20,97,471 (first dose 12,68,542 and second dose 8,28,929) .
It includes 6736 doses administered yesterday.
Till yesterday, 54.19 per cent of the State's total population had been given the first dose of Covid vaccine while 35.41 per cent had received both the first and second doses.
