Imphal, April 20 2022:
Governor La Ganesan has stated that any infiltration or illegal immigrants to the State should be checked and sent back.
On the second day of his two-day visit to Ukhrul and Kamjong district, the Governor interacted with the villagers at a programme held at Town Hall of Kamjong district headquarters today.
The Governor said that infiltrators are deliberately trying to sneak into the State from Myanmar side, mostly at the border areas.
"As we share a long border line with Myanmar, everyone should be vigilant enough to check such acts and should inform authorities if such cases arise.
Being a border State, the Government alone cannot stop such illegal activities without the people's co-operation", he stated.
