90 fresh cases take Covid caseload to 537

Imphal, July 18 2022:
Number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state rose to 537 on Monday as government bulletins reported 90 new positive cases from nine districts, out of 786 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 11.45 per cent positivity rate.
The 90 fresh cases (73 male & 17 female) are residents of Imphal West (41), Imphal East (18), Churachandpur (9), Thoubal (5), Bishnupur (4), Kakching (4), Ukhrul (2), Kangpokpi (1) and Kamjong (1) districts.
Monday also reported 45 recoveries from home isolation (35), RIMS (5) Shija Hospital (4) and JNIMS (1) .
No death case was reported on Monday as the toll from the viral infection in the state remained at 2121 .
Meanwhile, out of the 537 active cases, 401 (74.67 per cent) are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2121 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,38,033 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received the second dose of Covid vaccines.
There are 21 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 26 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 788 positive cases and one casualty since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 763 new positive case and one death case.
The cumulative positivity rate for the current month dropped to 12.05 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 98 D-type and 1 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 505 vaccine doses administered which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,03,290, out of which 12,72,563 had received the second dose and
1,35,638 had taken precautionary dose.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49133), Imphal East (30667), Thoubal (10201), Churachandpur (11081), Kangpokpi (3146), Tamenglong (3479), Bishnupur (9871), Senapati (2503), Ukhrul (3296), Kakching (6924), Chandel (2743), Noney (1166), Tengnoupal (1204), Jiribam (1113), Kamjong (1041), and Pherzawl (465).Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (705), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0).Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,484 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 31,093 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,22,405 tests per
million population against the national average of 6,17,746 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and the recovery rate came down to 98.07 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate rose to 8.52 per cent.
