Imphal, May 17 2022: The total number of Covid-19 active cases in the State has come down to just three and all of them belong to the general population after one person was discharged from JNIMS during the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, there was neither any report of positive case nor of Covid related death during the last 24 hours even though the pandemic had already claimed 2120 lives in the State.

Altogether 111 samples were tested during the last 24 hours and all of them turned out to be negative.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,230 (general population 1,32,216 and Central security personnel 5,014) .

This figure includes 1,35,107 recovered cases (general population 1,30,100 and Central security personnel 5,007) .

The recovery rate as on Tuesday is 98.45 per cent.

The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,72,978 (first dose 15,64,294, second dose 12,17,193 and precautionary dose 91,491) .

Till Monday, 61.77 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 51.74 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
