State logs 2 deaths, 7.1 pc TPR, 158 cases

Imphal, January 15 2022:
The State's Covid-19 death toll has risen to 2,014 following the death of two individuals from Imphal West and Kangpokpi during the last 24 hours.
As per a report of the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee, both the victims had co-morbidities.
Even though one of them was not vaccinated, the other was vaccinated with both the first and second dose.
In the meantime, the State logged daily positivity rate of 7.1 per cent as 158 samples out of 2,215 tested for Covid-19 were confirmed positive at RIMS (3), JNIMS (16) and other testing centres (139) .
A bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that 155 civilians and three CAPF personnel were tested positive during the last 24 hours.
Churachandpur leads the table with the most number of positive cases in the last 24 hours with 39 .
The civilians belong to Imphal East (38), Imphal West (49), Thoubal (6), Bishnupur (4), Kakching (4), Kangpokpi (3), Tengnoupal (1), Senapati (4), Ukhrul (2), Chandel (5) and Churachandpur (39) .
Chandel recorded the highest daily positivity rate of 19.2 per cent followed by Imphal East 11.6 per cent and Kamjong 11.1 per cent.
On the other hand, 37 people who were undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at JNIMS (3), CCCs (16) and home isolation (18) have been discharged following recovery.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State now stands at 1,26,979 (general population 1,22,338 and Central security personnel 4,641) .
It includes 1063 active cases (general population 868 and Central security personnel 195) and 1,23,902 recovered cases (general population 1,19,461 and Central security personnel 4,441) .
The recovery rate as on Saturday is 97.58 per cent.
A total of 418 D-type oxygen cylinders and 104 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 23,81,712 (first dose 13,58,792, second dose 10,17,727 and precautionary dose 5,193).This is inclusive of 3,837 doses administered yesterday.
Till January 14, 43.47 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 57.41 per cent has received the first dose.
