Imphal, March 14 2016:
Reacting to the statement of MLA L Ibomcha who ruled out withdrawing the FIR against Nagaland CM TR Zeliang, the Naga People's Front (NPF), Manipur State unit said that it is unfortunate that L Ibomcha MLA continues to show his political immaturity and lack of knowledge.
In a statement, NPF, Manipur State Unit said that the Congress Government attempted many times to destroy the democratic and Constitutional rights of the hill people and pointed out that the Manipur State Cabinet passed a resolution to introduce new land use policy.
Besides, attempts are made for inclusion of more than 400 hill villages under valley police stations, conduct Manipur Hill Area Autonomous District Council election 2015 under Municipality Act and the passing of the three Bills namely The Protection of Manipur People's Bill, MLR&LR (7th amendment) Bill 2015 and Shops and Establishment (2nd amendment) Bill 2015 .

The above mentioned policies are to remove the special provisions for hill people of Manipur enshrined in the Constitution of India under article 371C and MLR&LR Act 1960 section 2 and 158, said the statement.
The hill people had strongly protested against the passing of the three Bills leading to the death of nine innocent agitators in police firing in Churachandpur.
The NPF/MSU has made it very clear that, the three 'anti-tribal' Bills are not acceptable to the tribal people.
Four NPF MLAs had submitted resignation letters to the Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly on September 7, 2015 in protest against the Bills.
The nine bodies are still kept in the morgue at CCpur till today, said NPF/MSU and added that TR Zeliang in his Lui-Ngai-Ni speech at Ukhrul said that these three Bills are anti-tribals and therefore it is right that Naga people do not support O Ibobi, the CM of Manipur.
The Chief Minister of Nagaland has full democratic right to express his views and support the tribal people in Manipur because the NPF stands for equal justice, added the statement.
Why don't Ibomcha file an FIR against Manipur Chief Minister who is responsible for the death of nine innocent lives in Churachandpur, asked NPF /MSU If L Ibomcha wants to defend O Ibobi he should file an FIR against the whole tribal people for protesting the three 'anti-tribal' Bills and why only TR Zeliang who only showed his concern for his people, asked NPF/MSU.
The NPF/MSU also questioned the Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly as to why the resignations of four NPF MLAs are still kept in the dark till today even after six months.
If enquiry to this effect is required why doesn't the Speaker conduct an enquiry as soon as he received the resignation letters from the four MLAs, it asked.
It is high time for all to know what type of Government the people have under the present Congress party and its alliance in Manipur.
