State logs 2.9 pc TPR, one more succumbs

Imphal, November 12 2021:
Compared to yesterday's positivity rate of 4.2 per cent, today's positivity rate has declined to 2.9 per cent as 55 people including four CAPF personnel were confirmed positive out of 1,907 samples tested today for COVID-19 .
On the other hand, one individual belonging to Imphal West succumbed to the pandemic during the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1942 .
The victim had co-morbodities and had 1st dose of Covid vaccine, according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The 55 positive cases were detected at RIMS (9), JNIMS (8) and other testing centres (38), and the 51 civilians are residents of Imphal East (18), Imphal West (23), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (2), Chandel (1), Ukhrul (2), Churachandpur (2), Senapati (1) and Kamjong (1) .
Except for Kamjong, all other districts logged positivity rate below 5 per cent but Kamjong recorded 12.5 per cent as one sample turned out to be positive out of eight samples tested.
Following recovery, 25 COVID-19 positive persons were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (3), RIMS (1), JNIMS (6) and CCCs (15) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,24,383 (general population 1,20,033 and Central security personnel 4,350).It includes 790 active cases (general population 774 and Central security personnel 16) and 1,21,651 recovered cases (general population 1,17,322 and Central security personnel 4,329) .
The recovery rate as on Friday is 97.80 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 260 D-type oxygen cylinders and 109 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of the State.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 20,40,295 (1st dose 12,58,004 and 2nd dose 7,82,291) .
This includes 7135 doses administered on November 11 .
So far, 53.74 per cent of the State's total population have been administered with Covid vaccine first dose while 33.42 per cent have been administered both first
and second doses.
