CM and team back after meeting Shah

Imphal, November 11 2019:
The State Government team led by Chief Minister N Biren which met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Delhi on the Naga peace talk and its imminent solution returned to Imphal today.
As there was a growing suspicion and apprehension that the final solution to the Naga peace talk may harm the State's interest, the team went to Delhi and talked with Amit Shah at the latter's residence last morning.
The team included Speaker Y Khemchand, Works Minister Th Biswajit, Education Minister Th Radheshyam and Rajya Sabha MP K Bhabananda.

After listening to the fears and apprehensions of the people of Manipur from the team, the Union Home Minister assured that all the concerns of the people would be taken care of in the process of settling the Naga talks.
Amit Shah further assured that all stake holders of Manipur would be consulted before the final settlement is sealed.
As such, Amit Shah is likely to hold meetings with stake holders of the State soon, informed a source.
Even though a press meet was arranged this evening where Government spokesman Th Biswajit was supposed to brief media persons about their meeting with Amit Shah, the press meet has been postponed.
It is said that Chief Minister N Biren and Th Biswajit would brief media persons about their meeting with Amit Shah tomorrow.
On the other hand, extending support to the movement of COCOMI, various organisations and students staged sit in protests and formed human chains at different parts of Imphal today.
Coordinating Body Khurai, Neta club and Kangla Sangomshang Meira Paibi Lup staged a public alert sit in at Khurai today.
Students of Royal Academy of Science, Competitive Success Academy, Maipakpi Higher Secondary School, International Modernised Academy also formed human chains at Andro parking and Nongmeibung today.
The students also shouted slogans such as 'Long live Manipur', 'Integrity of Manipur should not be disturbed' etc.
