New cases see marginal dip at 606, deaths see slight rise at 10

Imphal, August 11 2021:
A marginal decline from the total of 633 new cases of August 10 to 606, a slight dip in the daily positivity rate at 12.2 percent from the 12.4 recorded on August 10 but an increase in the number of deaths from the 7 of August 10 to 10 deaths, marked the Covid graph today.
In a statement issued to the press today, the COVID-19 Common Control Room said that Manipur recorded 606 new cases, all drawn from amongst the general population, while the number of deaths recorded is 10 .
The 606 positive cases were detected while testing 4954 samples to the take the daily positivity rate to 12.2 percent.
With 606 more cases added, the total caseload of positive cases now stands at 1,06,030 .
During the same period of time, Manipur reported ten deaths due to the virus to take the total number of persons who have succumbed to the virus to 1674 .
Quoting the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the COVID-19 Common Control Room said that the deceased persons hailed from Imphal East (3), Imphal West (3), Bishnupur (3) and Churachandpur (1) .
Out of the ten dead persons, 8 of them had co-morbidities while one of them had received the first vaccine shot and another one had received the second jab.
The 606 new cases are from Imphal East (89), Imphal West (267), Thoubal (29), Bishnupur (74), Kakching (24), Ukhrul (20), Churachandpur (46), Chandel (20), Senapati (5), Tamenglong (5), Tengnoupal (6), Jiribam (4), Noney (1), Pherzawl (9) and Kangpokpi (7) .
All necessary measures including containment and contact tracing are in place, claimed the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
On the other hand, 723 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (360), RIMS (30), JNIMS (7), CCCs (165), and CHICs (161) .
The cumulative number of recovered cases stands at 97,499 including 3985 Central security personnel and the recovery rate is now 91.95 percent.
The number of active cases is 6857 including 71 Central security personnel.
On August 10, 8151 people received their vaccination jabs to take the total number of vaccinated people to 14,14,880 .
The total includes 2,57,503 people who have received their second shot.
In the last 24 hours a total of 1873 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 412 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres.
The number of Covid beds available at different health centres as on August 11, 2021 are Iland Hospital (General beds-12-free of cost), MSF, Little Flower School (6 ICU beds, 4 general beds), CMC, Koirengei (General beds-30, ICU beds-6), Iboyaima Hospital (General beds-18, ICU beds-2), Jivan Hospital, Kakching (General beds-13, ICU beds-5), Shija Hospital (General beds-5, ICU beds-13), Raj Medicity (General beds-40, ICU beds-15), RIMS (General beds-31, ICU beds-13), JNIMS (General beds-3, ICU beds-9) .
