Covid claims one more, 210 test positive

Imphal, September 10 2021:
Following the death of an individual from Imphal East due to COVID-19, the State's death toll has climbed to 1807 .
On the other hand, 3100 samples were tested for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours and 210 were confirmed positive at RIMS (15), JNIMS (22) and other testing centres (173) which implies that the positivity rate is 6.8 per cent.
The fresh positive cases belong to Imphal East (57), Imphal West (80), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (11), Kakching (2), Ukhrul (14), Churachandpur (32), Chandel (2), Senapati (1), Kamjong (3) and Kangpokpi (1) .
Meanwhile, 261 COVID-19 positive people have been discharged following recovery.
100 of them were discharged from home isolation, 11 from RIMS, five from JNIMS, 100 from CCCs and 45 from CHICs.
Further, it is reported that 397 people have also been discharged.
As such, the total number of recovered cases reported during the last 24 hours is considered to be 658, according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,16,607 (general population 1,12,440 and Central security personnel 4,167) .
This figure includes 2,769 active cases (general population 2728 and Central security personnel 41) and 1,12,031 recovered cases (general population 1,07,910 and Central security personnel 4,121) .
The recovery rate as on Friday is 96.08 per cent.
Taking into account, 3272 people vaccinated yesterday, the cumulative doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in the State has reached 15,84,886 (1st dose 11,98,915 and 2nd dose 3,85,971) .
