Daily TPR rises to 3.7 pc

The State logged a daily positivity rate of 3.7 per cent today as seven persons were confirmed positive out of 190 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours.
The seven persons who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal West (3), Thoubal (2) and Ukhrul (2), according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
However, there was no report of Covid related death in the State during the last 24 hours which keeps the death toll at 2120 .
On the other hand, four Covid-19 positive persons have recovered and have been discharged from home isolation (3) and Covid Care Facility (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State is now 1,37,156 (general population 1,32,142 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure includes 44 active cases from general population and 1,34,992 recovered cases (general population 1,29,985 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The recovery rate as on Sunday is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 77 D-type oxygen cylinders and 24 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Currently, one (out of 300) Covid beds of JNIMS and another one (out of 190) of RIMS are occupied.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,04,205 (first dose 15,48,006, second dose 11,88,390 and precautionary dose 67,809) .
Till April 9, 50.76 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.58 per cent has received the first dose.
