More than 70 thousand vaccinated till date

Imphal, March 10 2021:
The total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 has reached 72,387, said Government COVID-19 Common Control Room today.
As many as 1,806 people were vaccinated yesterday.
Of the total, 72,387 vaccinated people, 30,551 are healthcare workers, said the report issued by Additional Director, Health, Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
Meanwhile, 7 persons, all civilians including four males and three females tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases has climbed to 29,305 while the number of active cases is 35 .
So far, 28,897 people have recovered from the disease and the recovery rate stands at 98.60 percent.
The death toll due to COVID-19 remains at 373 .
The 7 fresh infections were detected at Advance Hospital (1), Raj Medicity (1), Babina Diagnostics (1), Shija Hospital (1), Bishnupur (1), Jivan Hospital Kakching (1) and Senapati (1) .
They hail from Imphal West (2), Imphal East (1), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Senapati (1) and Tengnoupal (1) .
On the other hand, two persons, who were under home isolation, have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases is 29,305 including 25,871 civilians and 3,434 Central security personnel.
The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,897 including 25,468 civilians and 3,429 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 35 including 34 civilians and one Central security personnel, said the Government report.
