COTA Stage Protest Demanding Implementation of 7th Pay

Thoubal, February 10 2020: Council of Teachers Association (COTA), All Manipur Elementary School Teachers Association (AMESTA), All Manipur Government Lecturer Welfare Association (AMGLWA) and All Manipur Secondary School Teachers Association (AMSSTA), jointly organised a sit in protest in front of the office of ZEO Zone III Office at Mini Secretariat Thoubal today demanding implementation of 7th Pay for the teachers.

Speaking to media persons on COTA Convenor Ch Santakumar said that 7th Pay has already come in effect for the other North East States.

If the State Government remained adamant and still refuse to implement the 7th Pay structure, he warned, adding that COTA, in the past, had submitted an ultimatum to the Government.

Similar agitation will also be launched in other districts of the State, he cautioned.
