Three test Covid positive

Imphal, April 09 2022:
With three persons confirmed positive out of 271 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, the State logged daily positivity rate of 1.1 per cent.
The fresh positive cases belong to Imphal East (1), Imphal West (1) and Kakching (1) .
Following recovery, four Covid-19 positive persons were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (2) and Covid Care Facility (2) .
Due to various reasons, seven other persons were also reported as discharged cases only today.
Therefore the total number of recovered cases is considered as 11 after reconciliation as on Saturday.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State as on April 9 is 1,37,149 (general population 1,32,135 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
It includes 41 active cases from general population and 1,34,988 recovered cases (general population 1,29,981 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The recovery rate as on Saturday is 98.42 per cent whereas the death toll remains unchanged at 2120 as there was no report Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
A total of 327 D-type oxygen cylinders and 87 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
At present, only one (out of 300) Covid bed of JNIMS and another one (out of 190) of RIMS are occupied.
Taking into account 2237 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,03,404 (first dose 15,47,888, second dose 11,87,741 and precautionary dose 67,775) .
Till Friday, 50.74 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.58 per cent has received the first dose.
