After 2 days, one tests positive

After a gap of two days, the State registered a fresh Covid-19 positive case as one sample was confirmed positive out of 106 samples tested during the last 24 hours.
With a resident of Thoubal confirmed positive, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 0.9 per cent.
Due to various reasons, two persons are reported as discharged cases only today which means the total number of Covid-19 active cases is now six.
All of them belong to general population.
The cumulative number of cases in the State has risen by one to 1,37,226 (general population 1,32,212 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
It includes 1,35,100 recovered cases (general population 1,30,093 and Central security personnel 5007) .
There was no report of Covid related death in the State during the last 24 hours which implies that the death toll remains static at 2120.The recovery rate as on Sunday is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 162 D-type oxygen cylinders and 22 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
All the 300 Covid beds of JNIMS and 190 of RIMS are currently vacant.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,56,801 (first dose 15,59,666, second dose 12,09,623 and precautionary dose 87,512) .
Till May 7, 51.49 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.69 per cent has been given the first dose.
