Active cases plummet to 85

Imphal, February 08 2021:
Even as the number of active cases dropped to 85, four persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
There were 99 active cases yesterday as per Government report.
The total number of positive cases has reached 29,130 while the number of recovered cases has reached 28,672 with a recovery rate of 98.42 percent.
With no deaths due to Covid reported in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains at 373 .
Meanwhile, the four persons, all females tested positive at testing facilities at Imphal East (1), Raj Medicity (2) and Tamenglong (1) .
They hail from Imphal East, Kakching, Senapati and Tamenglong district.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, said the Government COVID-19 Common Control Room.
On the other hand, 18 persons who were under home isolation have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, said the report issued by Additional Director (Health) Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 29,130 including 25,701 civilians and 3,429 Central security personnel.
The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,672 including 25,257 civilians and 3,415 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 85 including 75 civilians and 10 Central security personnel, said the report.
