Steady climb on with 22 more cases reported

Imphal, July 07 2022: Keeping with the recent trend of steady rise in Covid infections, 22 more individuals were confirmed positive out of 295 samples tested during the last 24 hours taking the daily positivity rate to 7.5 per cent.

All the 22 persons who have been tested positive are civilians and they are residents of Imphal East (5), Imphal West (9), Thoubal (2), Kakching (3), Ukhrul (1) and Churachandpur (2) .

Even though the pandemic had already claimed 2120 lives in the State, there is no report of Covid related during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, four Covid-19 positive persons have been discharged from home isolation following recovery.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,367 (general population 1,32,353 and Central security personnel 5,014) .

This figure includes 97 active cases, all from general population and 1,35,150 recovered cases (general population 1,30,143 and Central security personnel 5,007) .

The recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.39 per cent.

The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 29,75,875 (first dose 15,96,528, second dose 12,63,083 and precautionary dose 1,16,264) .

Till Wednesday, 61.99 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 53.30 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
