PM to lay foundation stones for 1000 Anganwadi Centres

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would lay foundation stones for 1000 Anganwadi Centres when he visits the State to open the Indian Science Congress which would be hosted by Manipur University.
The PMO has already intimated the State Government that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit the State on March 16.The State Government has been planning to hold a public reception of the Prime Minister at Luwangshangbam Cricket Ground.
The Prime Minister may also lay foundation stones and inaugurate different projects at the same ground, informed a source.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary RR Rashmi held a meeting with administrative Secretaries of all departments at the Old Secretariat conference hall this afternoon and reviewed preparations being made for the Prime Minister's visit.
Some of the projects which the State Government has been planning for inauguration by Narendra Modi are the women market complexes of Ukhrul, Churachandpur and Jiribam, Luwangshangbam Cricket Ground, ST Girls Hostel (Liberal College), Thoubal Dam, Dolaithabi Project's dam and spillway, Civil Secretariat's ministerial block and Rani Gaidinliu Park, Mantripukhri.
Some of the projects for which Narendra Modi may lay foundation stones as per the State Government's plan include transit accommodation for doctors and teachers which would be constructed at 15 different places, Sadhvabana Mandaps which would be constructed at 15 different places, 1000 Anganwadi Centres, National Sports University and National Football Academy.
Top security officers and MU officials were also present at the meeting presided by the Chief Secretary.
