Covid claims 3 more, 148 positive

Following recovery, 272 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (204), RIMS (22), JNIMS (13) and CCCs (33) even as 148 persons were tested positive for the contagion.
Covid-19 claimed three more lives, taking the death toll to 2066 .
As per a report of the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the victims hailed from Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal and all of them had co-morbidities.
Two of them had taken second dose of Covid vaccine while the other one was not vaccinated.
With 148 confirmed positive out of 1,563 samples tested for Covid-19, the daily positivity rate stands at 9.5 per cent.
The positive cases belong to Imphal East (33), Imphal West (61), Thoubal (13), Bishnupur (14), Kakching (10), Kangpokpi (4), Tengnoupal (2), Ukhrul (3), Noney (1), Chandel (1) and Churachandpur (6) .
Noney district recorded the highest daily positivity rate of 100 per cent followed by Bishnupur 18.7 per cent, Thoubal 183 per cent and Kakching 17.9 per cent.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State has reached 1,35,010 (general population 1,30,032 and Central security personnel 4978) .
It includes 3659 active cases (general population 3546 and Central security personnel 113) and 1,29,285 recovered cases (general population 1,24,427 and Central security personnel 4,858) .
The recovery rate stands at 95.76 percent.
A total of 225 D-type oxygen cylinders and 82 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State.
Currently, 81 (out of 300) Covid beds of JNIMS and 68 (out of 190) of RIMS are occupied.
Taking into account 5544 doses jabbed on Sunday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 25,74,197 (first dose 14,60,108, second dose 10,74,129 and precautionary dose 39,960) .
Till February 6, 45.88 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 59.53 per cent has received the first dose.
