155 cops receive shots, 7 test positive

Imphal, February 06 2021:
Besides healthcare workers, a first batch of 155 police per-sonnel received COVID-19 vaccine shots today.
The 155 cops were vaccinated at the 1st and 2nd Manipur Rifles Battalion camps.
Sources in the Health Department said the vaccination programme today had targeted to cover 162 personnel.
The vaccination programme today covered a total of 1382 persons.
So far, 8101 healthcare workers have been vaccinated and the total number of persons vaccinated has reached 8256, which is about 59.31 percent of the target.
Meanwhile, only 7 civilians tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, said Government COVID-19 Common Control Room today.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases has reached 29,117 while the number of active cases is 109 .
With zero death in the last 24 hours, the death toll due to the disease remains at 372 .
The total number of recovered cases has reached 28,636 with a recovery rate of 98.34 percent.
The seven who tested Covid positive in the last 24 hours include 5 males and 2 females.
They tested positive for coronavirus at testing facilities at Thoubal (2), RIMS (1), Bishnupur (1), Chandel (1), Babina Diagnostics (1) and Shija Hospital (1) .
They hail from Imphal West (3), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (1) and Chandel (1), said the Government report.
On the other hand, 11 persons have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
While five of them recovered under home isolation, the remaining have been discharged from COVID-19 Care Centres opened at CAPF (4), SHRI (1) and district hospital Chandel (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 29,117 including 25,691 civilians and 3,426 Central security personnel.
The total number of recovered cases is 28,636 including 25,222 civilians and 3,414 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 109 including 101 civilians and 8 Central security personnel.
