With 262 samples confirmed positive out of 1,859 tested, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 14.1 per cent on Thursday while the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee reported one death.
The victim who hailed from Kakching had co-morbidities and was not vaccinated.
The State's Covid-19 death toll now stands at 2054 .
Meanwhile a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that 262 people including one CAPF personnel were tested positive for the virus at RIMS (8), JNIMS (25) and other testing centres (229) .
The civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (47), Imphal West (98), Thoubal (21), Bishnupur (21), Kakching (14), Kamjong (4), Kangpokpi (9), Tamenglong (4), Tengnoupal (3), Ukhrul (6), Noney (1), Senapati (6), Chandel (13) and Churachandpur (14) .
Chandel district recorded the highest daily positivity rate of 31 per cent followed by Tengnoupal (30 per cent), Kakching (26.9 per cent) and Bishnupur (22.6 per cent) .
Following recovery, 228 people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (159), RIMS (7), JNIMS (20) and CCCs (42) .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State has reached 1,34,167 (general population 1,29,200 and Central security personnel 4,967) .
This figure includes 3976 active cases (general population 3814 and Central security personnel 162) and 1,28,137 recovered cases (general population 1,23,339 and Central security personnel 4798) .
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 95.51 per cent.
A total of 246 D-type oxygen cylinders and 96 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Taking into account 2022 doses administered yesterday, the cumulative of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 25,31,445 (first dose 14,40,010, second dose 10,57,266 and precautionary dose 34,169) .
Till Wednesday, 45.16 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been jabbed with the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 58.92 per cent has received the first dose.
