Active cases drop to six

The number of Covid-19 active cases in the State has dropped to just six and all of them belong to the general population.
Nonetheless, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 1.1 per cent as one individual was confirmed positive out of 91 samples tested for virus during the last 24 hours.
The individual who has been confirmed positive is a resident of Imphal West.
No positive case was detected on Sunday.
Altogether four persons who were undergoing treatment for Covid-19 had been discharged from home isolation during the last 48 hours following recovery.
Further six persons are reported as discharged cases only today.
Therefore the total number of recovered cases is considered as nine after reconciliation on May 2 .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is now 1,37,221 (general population 1,32,207 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure includes six active cases and 1,35,095 recovered cases (general population 1,30,088 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The death toll remains unchanged at 2120 as there was no report of Covid related during the last 48 hours.
The recovery rate as on Monday is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 35 D-type oxygen cylinders and 23 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday, according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
All the 300 Covid beds of JNIMS and 190 of RIMS are currently vacant.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,45,736 (first dose 15,57,100, second dose 12,05,189 and precautionary dose 83,447) .
Till Sunday, 51.35 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.67 per cent has received the first dose.
