Imphal, June 01 2014:
A protest de-monstration was staged today demanding removal of the URF's designated camp and all army/Assam Rifles posts from Loitang Khunou.
The protest demonstration held at Loitang Khunou was organised by the JAC constituted in the aftermath of the discovery of two bodies buried inside the URF's desig- nated camp.
The JAC has also been de-manding payment of compen- sation as well as suitable Government jobs to the next of kin of the two cadres who were found murdered and buried inside the camp.
Another major demand of the JAC is punishment of all the culprits involved in the heinous crime.

The JAC has already submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister apart from announcing publicly to launch all kinds of agitation if the same demands are not translated into action at the earliest.
Incidentally, URF is under a process of initiating peace after signing MoU with the Government of Manipur and the Government of India.
URF cadres Irengbam Bode alias Washington (35) of Awang Khunou and Pukhrambam Somorjit alias Wahengcha (35) of Waheng Khuman disappeared in the intervening night of March 18 and 19 before their bodies were found buried inside the outfit's designated camp on May 28 .
A similar protest demonstration was also staged at Waheng Khuman today.
