Covid active cases touch 64

Imphal, April 01 2021:
Even though a single positive case was detected during the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State has surged to 64 .
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, a male resident of Imphal West was tested positive at Maipakpi Hospital.
On the other hand, seven COVID-19 positive persons were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (5) and Shija Hospital (2) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,401 (general population 25,957 and Central security personnel 3,444) .
This figure includes 64 active cases (general population 57 and Central security personnel 7) and 28,963 active cases (general population 25,530 and Central security personnel 3,433) .
As there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 374 while the recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.51 per cent.
Meanwhile, 287 more were vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday taking the total figure to 86,331 and it includes 31,613 health care workers.
Air passengers who travelled to the State on March 31 by Indigo flight 6E-2251 in rows 16-22, 30-40 and Air India flight AI-889 in rows 12-18 have been informed to report to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers.
