State logs 36 positive cases, 1.7 pc TPR

The State's Covid-19 death toll has reached 1977 following the death of two individuals from Imphal West district during the last 24 hours.
According to a report of the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee, none of the latest victims were vaccinated and one of them had co-morbidity.
Meanwhile, 36 persons including one CAPF personnel were tested positive at RIMS (3), JNIMS (3) and other testing centres (30), out of 2,112 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours which puts the positivity rate at 1.7 per cent.
This is slightly higher than yesterday's positivity rate which was 1.4 per cent.
The 35 civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (9), Imphal West (14), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (2), Chandel (1), Churachandpur (3), Kangpokpi (1) and Noney (1) .
Kakching recorded the highest positivity rate at 3.2 per cent, followed by Churachandpur 2.9 per cent, Imphal West 2.8 per cent and Imphal East 2.5 per cent.
A press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that 40 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours following recovery from home isolation (4), RIMS (6), JNIMS (7) and CCCs (23).The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State has reached 1,25,205 (general population 1,20,774 and Central security personnel 4,431) .
This figure includes 649 active cases (general population 585 and Central security personnel 64) and 1,22,579 recovered cases (general population 1,18,217 and Central security personnel 4,362).A total of 385 D-type oxygen cylinders and 50 B- type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State on November 29 .
Taking into account 7,594 doses administered yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 21,50,883 (first dose 12,80,974 and second dose 8,69,909) .
Till November 29, 54.72 per cent of the State's total population has been given the first dose of Covid vaccine while 37.16 per cent has been given both the first and second doses.
