592 new cases added to total tally of infection, 9 fall victim

Imphal, June 30 2021:
Continuing with the three digit spike in the number of fresh infection, Manipur recorded 592 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, to take the cumulative figure of positive cases to 69,790 .
On the other hand, the Government is planning to relax the Covid induced restrictions in a safe and calibrated manner, based on the number of vaccinated workers and socio- economic importance of the establishment, the COVID-19 Common Control Room in a statement urged all the eligible people to get vaccinated at the earliest.
Any group or organisation which can mobilise 150 or more individuals may approach the SMD, NHM or DC concerned for organising a vaccination camp, added the statement.
The State also recorded 9 new deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours to take the total death tally to 1150.

On the other hand, a total of 494 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours to take the number of recovered cases to 62,628 .
The recovery rate is 89.73 percent.
The 592 positive cases were detected out of 4337 samples tested, to take the daily positivity rate to 13.6 percent, which is a slight dip from the high of 15.4 percent recorded on June 29.Of the 592 new cases, 12 were Central security personnel and out of the 580 civilians, 259 were women.
Quoting the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the COVID-19 Common Control Room said that 9 deaths due to the virus were reported in the last 24 hours.
They passed away at RIMS (1), JNIMS (6) and MSF Little Flower (2) .
With nine more falling prey to the virus, the cumulative number of deaths is now 1150.The deceased were from Imphal West (3), Imphal East (3), Bishnupur (2) and Kakching (1).The 580 civilians who tested positive for the virus are from Imphal East (112), Imphal West (202), Thoubal (59), Bishnupur (56), Kakching (39), Ukhrul (6), Churachandpur (56), Chandel (17), Senapati (5), Tamenglong (3), Tengnoupal (2), Kamjong (10), Noney (1) and Kangpokpi (12) .
Of the total 69,790 positive cases detected so far in Manipur, Central security personnel account for 3835 and of the 62,628 recovered cases, the number Central security personnel is 3776 .
With 592 more cases added to the cumulative figure, the number of active cases have gone up to 6,012 including 54 Central security personnel.
The number of people who have received their vaccination jabs is 6,47,632 .
Out of this the total number of people who have received their second dose is 83,970 .
On June 29 a total of 15,235 people received their vaccination shots including 47 health care workers.
