The Band: ReCycLE

The Sound: Alternative/grunge/nu-metal

The premise: A musical journey what we would like to explore to the less-traveled dimension with passion to chase our dreams with a touch of madness. Recycle came into existence in the month of November 2006 with a common urge to taste into the musical landscapes of 90's grunge/Alternative sound/Nu-metal because the band felt that there was no such act in Imphal music scene. Originality remains the keyword but the current sound is more grunge based with alternative flavor and a touch of nu-metal.The band has been focusing on defining their sound since the time it was formed.

Recycle draw inspiration from Nirvana, Stone temple pilot, Audioslave, Coldplay, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Velvet Revolver,Radiohead,U2,Incubus just to name but a few. The band shared the stage for the first time with Boomarang,Aizawl based rap-metal/junk rock band @ BOAt, Imphal on 21st April 2007. Recycle took part at the Candle Rock III on 22nd May 2007 as part of the 24th International Candlelight Memorial Observation & 3rd Regional Aids Candlelight Campaign for positive activism in Imphal for the HIV positive people living across the eight North-Eastern states.

Recently the band participated at the Hornbill Rock Contest 2007 held at Kisama, Nagaland and were among the 9 (nine) finalists. The band bagged the Best Vocalist prize in individual category.

The band is at present recording their materials @Shallow River Studio in Imphal and hopefully to release their EP of five songs in the month of February 2008 and also coming up myspace site basically to promote our music.

So far so good the journey has been with experience of live gigs,rehearsals,recordings and the list go on...Recycle has a long way to go for which the band is ever more than ready for the miles ahead.
