Comment on Kradle o' Beats's "Waiting" :: By Ringo Pebam
- 01 October 2006 -

Dear Bulo, Robby, Nanao and Boomacha,

Guys, you all deserve a round of applause !!

Hear me (and many of us) say - WELL SUNG, WELL PLAYED, WELL COMPOSED.

I would like to point our here that the vocal is real GOOD(it reminds me of Eddie Vedder), as I write you this very mail at this very late hour of this silent windy night, your song "Waiting" soothes me... the unique vocal, the acoustic plucking and lead solos, and the bass guitar works... Know something ?? Your vocal expression very well express the core/theme/lyrics of the song. By now I can even sing your song - "..in the night, now matter how dark it gets, there is a light somewhere in the corner, waiting.."

I have never seen you guys singing in person and as I listen to your songs I see Eddie Vedder in my mind. It gives me immense joy to realise that it's not Eddie, *but my own brothers from my homeland*. To me, your song 'Waiting' is going to be a classic, it's second only to Phoenix's "Woman".

I don't know where "Kradle o' Beats" stands in the national music scene, whether you are based at Imphal only or somewhere in North India; if you haven't performed outside Manipur, it's high time you compete in the National arena, your songs are matured enough, go out - reach out, enter competitions at various festivals. Contact your friends outside Manipur, enter some contests, keep rising, don't remain stagnant at home. Parikrama, Indian Ocean, Orange Street, Pentagram.... were like you - budding bands, the only difference is that they had the advantage of more exposures, more platforms to perform and people to support them. You can also release your songs on various internet rock music radio stations that promote new talents; it's no more those days of '80s and '90s when many talents went untrapped, and faded away.. just like that.

Way go to brothers. Rise and shine.
Waiting to see you top the music charts.

Best Wishes,
Ringo Pebam

PS: I wish the readers of E-Pao(who have the taste of this kind of music) spend few minutes downloading their zipped media files from E-Pao, and check these guys' hard work and talent. They are exeptional.
